“When we hold each other, in the darkness, it doesn’t make the darkness go away. The bad things are still out there. The nightmares still walking. When we hold each other we feel not safe, but better. “It’s all right” we whisper, “I’m here, I love you.” and we lie: “I’ll never leave you.” For just a moment or two the darkness doesn’t seem so bad.” — Neil Gaiman, Neil Gaiman’s Midnight Days |

You don’t need water to feel like you’re drowning, do you? - Jodi Picoult, Nineteen Minutes

So its the last day of school and today and instead of doing work in my free period. I am blogging instead, with my magical ways of getting onto BlogSpot without it getting "blocked" by the government safety internet crap which pretty much stops every student from accessing pretty much anything on the internet. I wouldn't have bothered to go to school today but we are getting some exam results back today, so I decided to pull myself out of bed. I'm actually pretty happy with my maths results loool. Could have gotten better, but curve sketching and working under a time pressure don't do me any good.
My boyfriend came back from hk a few days ago, bringing back all these goodies for me. I swear he literally bought more stuff for me than for himself... Thanks to that I've pretty much put myself in a mode where I devour and buy anything I like in a shop, talking about shopping I bought myself a coat the other day, a purchase I am rather quite happy about. hehe. Except for the fact that it is actually summer now and a coat will do me no good until another 6 months time. Also, my cat came. My dad's face when my tutor bought a 'meowing' box to my front door was absolutely priceless. LOL. I had bought all the cat food etc before hand, and now i owe my mum round 40$ because its my cat and im responsible and so food etc is all from my wallet. I'll probably drag the fact i owe her money until she forgets hehehe. The first night the cat came to my house, omg it was nightmare, all she did was hide, when she first came in I let her wander round the lounge room which was really stupid because even though my little sister and I spent the arvo cleaning my house there still so much of my dad's crap around the house. He brings home all these tools and spare wood and stuff which literally takes up half of my lounge room. She crawled between these two pieces of wood and it took me forever to convince her out of it (technically I pulled her out and she very reluctantly gave up) She then spent the rest of the night on my lap sleeping, when my mum came home she's like "take her upstairs so she sleeps with you, kittens are very clingy with people, actually cats are clingy in general" SO I DID. AND THEN SHE SHAT UNDER MY BED. OMG In the end, that night I got 2.5 hours of sleep. She pretty much went into my room and hit underneath my bed. I couldn't get her out or coax her out since she was scared herself, being in a new house and all. Cause alice and I are such smart people we put her collar on so if we couldn't see her we could at least hear her. So i decided to stay up until I heard her bell, then i smelt something. And I was seriously praying that it would just be my nose stuffing up but when i looked under my bed, my dear cat had shat under my bed. Thank god it was just on old posters, so i just had chuck the posters, but still it stunk and it was disgusting and this was at like 2.30/3am in the morning. Speaking about my dear cat she's sleeping on my lap right now and I swear she just farted cause it smells like rotten fish oh my god. Either way she's the newest addition to my family, and probably soon I'm gonna turn into one of those crazy cat ladies but OHWELL. She rather likes to sleep on my lap for hours on end making my legs cramp up but when it comes to my turn to sleep she doesn't sleep next to me but rather attacks my mirror thinking that there's another cat in my house. (I spent a rather long time watching her do this the other day, its very entertaining) I still have to take her to get her vaccinations which I'm rather not looking forward too because those few hundred dollars will be coming out of my pocket, and we don't have a cat carrier, when I told my mum that she literally said "Put her in a box" like seriously.... I don't exactly just want to buy a cat carrier just for one trip to the vet. But showing up to a vet with your pet cat in a box isn't exactly the best impression to give a vet, nekminnut the RSPCA is knocking on my door or something. LOL. I seriously wanted to enjoy my holidays this year, but after making a list of all the crap i have to do this holidays, I don't think so. Its going to be just a mesh of work and school work. And some spare time here and there. I should probably just spend like a few days or something at the state library where i literally do nothing but try and dedicate each day to making notes on different subjects. I have so many notes to type up and make for Ancient and legal, not to mention all the memorising i got to do for Latin and reading for english AND MY FIRST DRAFT FOR EXTENSION HISTORY OMG. I JUST HAVE SO LITTLE TIME TO DO ALL THIS CRAP. I'll probably end up going to the beach to read my related texts for english or something i dont know. I'll be bringing my textbooks to sleepovers so i can type notes while my boyfriend plays whatever they play on the PC or PS3. But i guess its a good thing at least I don't have the mountain of work to do whilst school work is on. Labels: 2013, alice, bb, cat diary, christmas, Life (:, personal |
